The Background
A retailer of Computer, Communications, Electronics and Entertainment products. Their website provides a tool for all shoppers to Search, Research and Buy from their vast and always changing product range. Their brand is represented by a network of over 200 nationwide stores.
The Challenge
The challenge arose when the retailer began the process of upgrading their existing e-commerce website to be more in line with current standards of world best practice website design and functionality.
This meant they had to bring a catalogue viewing engine that was comparable and integrated.
The retailer also also understood the fragmented way that consumers engage with the internet nowadays and saw the need to be able to push their products in a wider audience than just their own website.
The Solution
The solution was for Salmat to integrate into the retailers new look site our Dynamic Catalogue and Dynamic Locator Products.
Dynamic Catalogue now gave the retailer an onsite catalogue viewing platform that had the functionality required by both them and their customers.
By breaking the catalogue down to a product level customers were now able to purchase directly from the catalogue with “Buy Now” links.
For the first time ever they were able to directly track the behaviour of the people reading their catalogues and browsing their sale items.
The Outcome
Today’s consumers are looking for an online shopping experience similar to one that they would have in-store.
They want to be able to browse offers and plan their purchases based on information regarding the best products at the best price, both online and in-store.
The client addressed the fragmented way that consumers engage with the internet now by placing their catalogue sale items on Lasoo.com.au. The traffic that the retailer’s website receives from Lasoo is the most engaged traffic they receive on the internet, with Lasoo users converting to an online sale at twice the frequency of other traffic and at a much larger basket size.
